"Lost and Found" is a continuation of a short story included in "Take it All: Steamy Encounters Collection", so its protagonists, Dave and Carter, are already known to some readers. While the mentioned short story was a pure erotica, "Lost and Found" is a romance and in my opinion is very different from what we have seen so far in stories written by Quin&Perin. Evidence of this fact is presented in the characters' relation which is more rational than before, if one can speak about rationality in the case of feelings and love. Although, like in the case of the short story, a lot of space is devoted to the topic of daddy kink, in this novella the most important seems to be the explanation of the true meaning of this kink, not the satisfaction of the characters' and readers' needs. I admit that this is to a certain degree the advantage of this novel, as it sheds light on the topic of daddy kink and shows that underneath hides the entrance into the psyche of some people.
I must admit that while reading "Lost and Found" I was quite surprised that there was so much drama in such a short novella. In truth, it largely dominated this story to such an extent that it didn't leave too much room for positive emotions. It has its roots primarily in the seemingly unrequited and unconscious love, misunderstandings and the fact that Dave often behaves like a strongly emotional, proud and stubborn teenager, not like an adult. However, this is not all, because the authors marked with drama such scenes and events that at some point our hearts break into small pieces and tears flow from our eyes. I admit that I even began to wonder if Quin&Perin planned to kill me, or if they are two sadists who like to torment their readers. To tell you the truth, I'm still collecting and gluing together fragments of my heart.
It is also worth adding that "Lost and Found" has a first-person narrative, which gives the reader a direct insight into Dave's thoughts and feelings. Reading this story we have the impression that it is some kind of a diary written "for posterity", as there are few phrases addressed directly to the reader. This is undoubtedly very interesting and speaks in favor of the novella. What's more, we should pay attention to the fact that the authors filled this story to the brim with forceful emotions, as Dave is a walking volcano of feelings and thoughts, and the struggle between his heart and mind is really violent and emotional. This is probably the biggest advantage of "Lost and Found" and the main reason why you should read this story.
And yet there are some "buts" in here. First of all, some of the scenes, especially those at the beginning of the story referring to the intercourse of two main characters, are marked in the narrative, but are ultimately omitted, as if they were cut from the text, which makes "Lost and Found" seem incomplete. Secondly, I admit that I really missed the insight into Carter's mind and psyche in this story, given the rather unique relationship between him and Dave and their age gap. I really regret that the authors didn't make him the second main narrator, which would surely fully develop the potential of this story. With that in mind, I consider the epilogue to be quite an advantage, as it was presented from Carter's point of view. However, it is not particularly long, so it does leave us a little unsatisfied.
In conclusion, I admit that I expected a little more from "Lost and Found". The novella has its indisputable advantages, such as emotionality, the presentation of daddy kink from the more psychological side than the bodily one, or the deep insight into Dave's mind. At the same time, however, there are some disadvantages that can't be omitted, such as the lack of smoothness of events. Nevertheless, it's hard be indifferent to this story, because the authors really know how to play with the readers' feelings and make it impossible to break away from this story.

“Please,” Carter begged, tears in his eyes. Desperate, that’s what he was. The schedules I’d given him worked most of the time. But he needed the physical contact.
I released his hair and cupped his jaw, fingers digging into his cheeks. “You crossed a line, boy. Now go sit on the couch and think about what you’ve done before I do something I’ll regret.”
There it was again, that daring glimmer in his eyes. His hands almost touched the thick bulge I sported, but he knew better. He receded, never breaking eye contact while I nodded and praised him, “Good boy.”
