It would seem that Meik Lennen, an incredibly handsome owner of a prosperous and profitable company, has no reasons to complain about his life. He doesn't have to worry about his present or his future and without any problems he always finds someone who is glad to satisfy his sexual needs. What more could a man want? However, the problem is that Meik quickly gets bored with his partners which is the reason for his bad mood. When the man, not completely satisfied with his secretary's “services”, decides to find someone else who will sate his insatiable lust, the destiny brings young, beautiful street musician, Sebastian, into his life. Charmed by the boy and horny because of his desires, he decides to have some fun without any obligation. It turns out, however, that Sebastian awakes a beast in him. A beast that once satisfied wants more and more with every moment.
I admit that deciding to read the first part of "Meik&Sebastian – Obsessed" I had some concerns as to whether this story would appeal to me. Contrary to appearances, I'm quite picky and not every novel suits my literary taste. However, it turned out that I was unnecessarily worried because this short story is exactly what I was hoping for and what I am looking for in erotica. Quin&Perin don't make us deal with some ridiculously romantic babble about love from the very beginning, but they start with passion, obsession, sexual tension between the characters, thanks to which we immediately feel the red-hot erotic vibe in this story. Nevertheless, at the same time we can find here a little bit of the mutual interest, so in the future it may turns into something deeper, into some real feelings. It all depends on how Quin&Perin decide to continue this series, as what they presented in this part allows Meik and Sebastian's fate to make their future romantic or not. And that's what I liked so much in this novel. It starts with the needs of the body, not those of the heart, so exactly as, in my opinion, it should be in the case of an erotica. It's hot and that's how it should be!
Another undeniable advantage of "Meik&Sebastian – Obsessed" which we can see in this part are the characters. Although Meik is a real sex addict and we know almost nothing about Sebastian, both of them from the very beginning arouse our affection and interest. This is quite amazing, considering that in the real world the former one probably wouldn't be part of the group of our best friends, while the latter is just a big unknown. And yet the authors managed to present these two in such a way that we simply can't resist them. What's more, by putting Meik and Sebastian together, Quin&Perin made a really brilliant ship out of them, because who better suits the dominance crazy alpha male than the innocent but cheeky cutie? With such a pair it's hard to talk about a simple flame, as together they start a real fire! They seem to be made for each other and it makes reading about them even more enjoyable. These two just attract us like a magnet!
Finally, I would like to mention something that I simply can't skip in this review. Maybe I will not be particularly original as this subject is concerned, but in the end to some extent we are dealing with erotica in the case of this story. With a really good erotica! So, as everyone has already guessed, this paragraph is about sex. I think that in "Meik&Sebastian – Obsessed" the authors went beyond our expectations. It is only the first part, the very beginning of the story, but it's already really wild and hot. What's more, the way in which the authors present sexual intercourse is incredibly exciting and, as if it was not enough, they also enriched the story through clearly emphasizing the D/s theme. Thanks to this erotic side of this part, "Meik&Sebastian – Obsessed" is insanely captivating and really arouses the reader. And although I admit that I am not a fan of verbal humiliation, it did not bother me so much in this novel. So with a clear conscience I can assure you that this short story you will read with incredibly red blush on your face, fast beating heart and you will immediately reach for another part.
In summary, the first piece of the "Obsessed" series is a really great start of a hot and exciting adventure. While reading we are constantly thrilled and we look forward to what the following pages can bring us. On the one hand, we are waiting for pure erotica. On the other, we impatiently follow the further development of the relationship between the characters. Believe me, it's really easy to fall in love with this short story.
Headcanon: Meik is the one who buys clothes for Sebastian, because if it depends on the musician, he will wear the same clothing until there are some holes in the fabric.
Fanfiction idea: As a birthday present for Sebastian, Meik makes use of his connections and helps Sebastian to record his own music album.
AU idea: Sebastian is a promising musician and women are totally crazy about him. Meik's ex-girlfriend was one of Sebastian's greatest fans and she was always making such a fuss about the musician that at some point she awakened Meik's obsession with the young boy. Following the voice of his fixation, the man kidnaps Sebastian.
