Rob's work combines pleasure with usefulness, as it involves frequent trips and allows him to stay in exclusive hotels. However, what distinguishes this trip from others is a stupid question asked by an unbelievably handsome but incredibly annoying and intrusive alpha: "Will you be my Valentine?". At that moment, Rob doesn't even think about it too much, as he gives the only sensible answer. The problem is that Noah clearly doesn't accept the fact that this attractive omega is not interested in his offer. Instead, he tries very hard to persuade Rob to be part of his fake relationship game that would help him save his face in front of his family, who is about to meet his not existing mate. As a result of a misunderstanding, Rob becomes part of this lie, even if he doesn't want to.

"The Omega's Sun-Kissed Valentine" is a very short story, and although it's not very ambitious, its huge advantage is the omnipresent humor. To tell you the truth, while reading this novella the readers have a smile on their faces for the whole time. Even if the story starts to get serious, the author quickly releases the tension with another dose of funny situations, dialogues and the characters' astonishing behavior. No matter how hard it is to make you laugh, how serious you are in your everyday life, or how often you are in a bad mood. You have no chance against Colbie Dunbar, as while reading this story, each one of you will be smiling.

Another advantage of "The Omega's Sun-Kissed Valentine" is the way in which the characters are presented. In fact, I was a bit surprised, as I was expecting their creation to be more trite. But instead of being predictable, Colbie Dunbar showed us the characters who are far from what we usually expect from a typical alpha or omega. Let's start with our leads, so with Noah and Rob. The first one is a bit of a clumsy alpha who combines requests with flirtation in a rather inept and therefore amazingly funny manner. The other is a self-confident, sassy omega whose heart is quite hard to steal. No less interesting are the supporting characters, such as Nat, Noah's sister, who is even less stereotypical than Rob in terms of the presentation of the omegas. Meanwhile, her husband seems almost to disappear next to her, to blend in with the crowd, to be a shadow to her light. So how can you not like such a cheerful bunch? I think it is almost impossible.

Certainly, the way in which the author showed the mates also deserves our special attention. I admit that I really like it when this motif appears in the omegaverse novels, but what irritates me is the fact that often the mutual physical attraction is stronger than one's own will. That's why I love the fact that in "The Omega's Sun-Kissed Valentine" the characters can think rationally, despite the aforementioned attraction. Sure, they are physically attracted to each other, but still they are able to say "no", turn on their heels and simply walk away, decide for themselves whether that acquaintance makes sense. What is more, the leads look at each other through the prism of their personalities, their character traits, and not just through the physical attractiveness. It really is a huge plus of this novella, and thus the thing that convinced me the strongest and the fastest to love this story.

In summary, "The Omega's Sun-Kissed Valentine" is a very light and quite short novella, which we read with pleasure and smile of amusement on your faces. Colbie Dunbar presents us a story that will certainly be perfect during the bad days when we see everything in dark colors. All it takes is a few moments and our mood immediately improves.
