Thanks to Connor, the Assassins' Guild spends the holiday season in France, enjoying Paris, as well as making full use of presence and closeness of their family and friends. The romantic scenery prompts the assassins to use it in every way possible. What have they planned and how will they implement their plans? One thing is for sure, this Christmas will be unforgettable.
"T.A.G. Family Christmas” is a Christmas novella by A.G. Carothers, which is part of "The Assassins' Guild" series. Readers familiar with this series or any other written by A.G. Carothers know that they can expect the most important motifs in a given story multiplied by 100, so it probably won't surprise anyone that this is also the case of "T.A.G. Family Christmas". Let's start with the fact that this novella is a very Christmassy one. I think this is especially important when we take into account that our main characters are assassins. Let's add to this fact a lot of ubiquitous joy and love towards family members, life partners, and that's how we get a slightly unusual fusion that we can interpret in many different ways. Our characters are cold blooded killers, but at the same time they are able to feel all those deep, powerful feelings towards people who are close to them. It's a really interesting and explosive mix that makes us think.
I have no doubt that another advantage of "T.A.G. Family Christmas” is the fact that the story presented here shows as many characters, whom we have already met in the previous two volumes of the series, as possible. Particular emphasis was placed on couples we already know, but also on new, blossoming feelings. And let's not forget about those members of the assassin family who don't have their other half. Thus, this amazing holiday season becomes truly magical, because nobody is left alone, as everyone spends this time together in an atmosphere of joy and peace. What's more, people who go on the holiday trip to Paris are an integral part of some very important events that take place in Connor's and Yoshi's lives. All this shows that in private our characters are sentimental and romantic, even if they cannot show this kind of feelings openly to anyone when they are working. The novella undoubtedly gives us the opportunity to get to know all the characters of the series better.
There is one more thing that I would like to mention when reviewing "T.A.G. Family Christmas", however, you should know that I cannot go into details about it. Well, there is a certain element in this novella that is of great importance for "The Assassins' Guild" series and drastically changes the way we will perceive it from now on. Some readers will say it's just a small thing, while others may be shocked. Believe me, after reading this novella, certain threads cannot be ignored. However, at this point the question arises - what will happen next and which way will this story go?
In summary, "T.A.G. Family Christmas” is a very short, warm and cheerful novella that shows us our deadly characters from a different angle than two previous novels. This light story undoubtedly puts us in a great mood. What's more, it surprises us, draws us even more into the world of the series and makes us really look forward to the next volume.
