Six months have passed since Carter Falon, a young, single veterinarian, moved into a house he inherited from his grandfather. The man finally decided to renovate the decaying building, and for this purpose he contacted an independent construction worker, Tanner Grady. Just like Carter, Tanner has recently moved to the small town to help his brother and friend take care of his newly born daughter, so the opportunity to get a job that would take him a few months to complete is a real deal. However, the first meeting of these two men doesn't go as planned. The old house plays a trick on Carter, and as a result Tanner has to help him. But there's also a positive side to it, as he has the opportunity to look at the naked body of the attractive vet. Everything points to the fact that this renovation may be a great idea not only from a practical point of view.

I will be honest, the main reason why I wanted to read "Let Me Show You" were the characters of this novel. A vet and a construction worker? Oh, yes! I knew right away that I had to read it and recharge my batteries with positive energy. I had a feeling that I would love Carter and Tanner, and I wasn't disappointed, as they are simply charming. Both of them are warm and energetic, have lot of bad and good luck at the same time, so sometimes they have to deal with some hilarious situations. Well, I think I should add that novels about vets have recently become my weakness, so Becca Seymour had an advantage over me from the very beginning. And it couldn't be different, as I simply had to fall in love with her characters. They are simple, honest, open. Reading about them is really enjoyable.

In "Let Me Show You" there was also one thing that surprised me a bit, and I think it's a great advantage of this book. What I'm talking about is the way Carter and Tanner's relationship is built. As the characters are interested in each other since their first meeting, I was afraid that they would fall into each other's arms and declare their lifelong affection. And that's when I was pleasantly surprised, because the author stopped her protagonists from doing it and she made them think rationally, consider all pros and cons of possible crossing the line between employee and employer. Thus, it all starts from building mutual positive relations and friendship between Carter and Tanner, and only then a deeper, romantic feeling is born. And just when an emotional bond is added to their sexual desire, the characters cross the above mentioned line. Well, I really love the fact that this romance was built in this way.

What's more, I really like the manner in which the affection between Carter and Tanner is presented, as it's related not only to the physical pleasure, but it's also important how these two feel in each other's company, and what kind of emotions they can arouse in each other. Let me add that in "Let Me Show You" the positive influence of love is emphasized both in relation to Carter and Tanner, which to a certain extent gives this feeling a new dimension. Well, it is known from ages that a man in love is happier and thrives. And that's what Becca Seymour shows us in her novel, as she really focuses on it. I consider this a great advantage, because thanks to it the feelings of these two characters seem to be more genuine and much stronger. They go beyond the body, reaching the human soul.

As for the story itself, I think it's very nice. Although it's simple and mostly lacks suspenseful drama, as the problems of our protagonists are quite quickly resolved, to a certain extent it's undoubtedly another advantage of this book. Becca Seymour presents an amusing, largely positive and really funny romance story, which calms the reader and, if necessary, is able to improve their mood. To be honest, that's what I was counting on when reading "Let Me Show You", and that's what I received, so I really like this novel. Reading the book, I was smiling a lot and I was falling in love with the main characters deeper and deeper with each page.

To summarize, "Let Me Show You" is an interesting and funny romance, which in a great manner shows the stages of building a lasting relationship and the birth of love between two lovable characters. It is a positive novel, which makes you smile, and in which everything has its time, as even the feelings are not rushed.

When a veterinarian and a construction worker connect, it takes mishaps, mistakes, and a Rhodesian Ridgeback named Rex to show them they’re made for each other.

Dr. Carter Falon is content living a quiet life in a small town caring for his animal patients. That doesn't mean he's not looking for a distraction. After finding himself precariously wedged… naked and at the mercy of a drop-dead gorgeous construction worker, Carter hires his savior to renovate his home.

When Tanner Grady’s best friend and new niece needed him, he uprooted and relocated without a second thought. His life has since been centered on work and spending time with his family, but when he comes to the rescue of a cute vet, Tanner finds he's a lot more interested in the homeowner than the house he’s renovating.

Excerpt
My eyes widened when they landed on his form. Damn, it wasn’t every day a client greeted me in the nude. Looking at the path between me and who I assumed to be Carter on the ground, I tried not to let my eyes linger for too long on his smooth expanse of skin. He was lightly toned, with a softness about him that was impossible to not notice, despite trying my hardest not to.
With a shake of my head, I calculated each step I took to get to his side. Once I made it safely to the top, the floorboards creaking under my booted feet, Carter angled himself to turn and look at me. Definitely pissed off and in pain, and perhaps a bit mortified too, a light blush covering his cheeks. His gaze roamed me from bottom to top before landing on my own. I quirked my brow in amusement and question while strategically ignoring how fucking pretty his brown eyes were. “So…?” I offered.
He sighed, and I watched in fascination as his Adam’s apple bobbed when he swallowed. “I rushed from the piece-of-crap shower when I heard the knock. My foot went through the board, and it’s stuck.” His pink cheeks turned crimson.
Unable to stay the small smile tugging at my lips, I grinned as I stepped closer. I took my time to get to him, wanting to help the guy out. The last thing he needed was me falling on my ass. Clearing my throat, I crouched down at his side, my focus now on his leg and foot.
The whole area was rotten and would need ripping out. But for the time being, I’d need to tear up the two surrounding boards to get his ankle free. “You have tried to get it out, right?” I felt like a jackass for asking, but it was always best to check first.
Carter huffed out a breath. “Yeah, I did. It’s wedged against something. I tried pulling it out, but it’s a no go. It’s tighter than a virgin ass.”
My gaze whipped to his. What the fuck? With lifted brows, I stared wide-eyed at him, drawing another blush from him.
“Shoot, sorry. That was inappropriate.” His eyes widened in horror. “I meant, it’s wedged. Erm. It’s just wedged tight, and—
I grinned. “It’s all good. Give me a sec.” The poor guy looked like he wanted to join his foot in the space under the floorboards and curl over. He needed an out, and I needed to get some air in my lungs away from his intoxicating smell and firm thighs, which were impossible to ignore in such close proximity.
